Competitive cricket returns in the NSSCL this weekend, with Leek Cricket Club 1st XI at home to Stone SP
After months of waiting, we are finally heading towards the first weekend of the competitive cricket in the North Staffs & South Cheshire League. Although there will be no promotion or relegation this season, the league have done an incredible job organising a format that will remain competitive.
The league opted against proposals to split each division in to two and instead teams will play each other once in 40-overs per side matches.
That means that an extra two weeks have been added on to the campaign. It was originally due to finish on September 12, but the final matches will now be played a fortnight later.
There have been some rule changes for 2020, all league rules for this season can be found here.
Saturday 18th July sees two of our teams playing. The 1st XI face Stone SP at Highfield, and the 2nd XI travel to Caverswall.
