Lewis returns to Leek Cricket Club having played at Highfield in 2014 and 2015, before heading to Silverdale and Moddershall.
Having played well over 350 games of club cricket, scoring over 1500 runs and taking 400+ wickets, we are excited to have Lewis back at Leek.
Club Chairman, Brian Mellor said, "We are delighted to welcome Lewis back to Highfield for the 2024 season. Lewis is a talented all-rounder who will give us options with both bat and ball. He is also a good leader and team player having captained Moddershall to the Premier League runners up spot in season 2022. We can't wait to see Lewis in action next year."
We also spoke to Leek's Head of Cricket Committee, Rob Haydon who said “signing Lewis is another real positive for us. He is a really good cricketer who can contribute in all three disciplines. He is a competitive lad who has good match awareness, and we are looking forward to him contributing to our future plans."
Talking about his return to Leek Cricket Club, Lewis said he is "delighted to be signing for Leek, with the intention of building on the cup success of last season. The club did a great job at the back end of the season and I’m looking forward to help where I can with a fantastic bunch of lads"
We cannot wait to have Lewis back at Leek for 2024 and wish him the best of luck for the season ahead.
