Leek Cricket Club 1st XI will once again continue to play in the Premier Division for the 2024 season, however, this year it has been renamed to Premier 'A'.

GAMES 1-5 & 17-22
HOURS OF PLAY AND DURATION OF MATCHES
a. Matches shall commence at 12.00 pm.
b. Each match shall Consist of 45 six-ball overs per innings or until a team is bowled out.
c. A minimum of 10 overs per team will constitute a match
d. Each team must have completed its 45 overs within 3 hours of the start of the innings.
e. A team shall not be permitted to declare its innings closed.

GAMES 6-16
HOURS OF PLAY AND DURATION OF MATCHES
a. Matches shall commence at 12.00 pm.
b. Each match shall consist of a minimum of 110 six-ball overs and the side batting first restricted to 55 overs, except where a match is affected by fitness of ground, weather or light in which case the initial and remaining overs shall be calculated by the Umpires using the Overs Adjustment Table.
c. Should the team batting first be dismissed or declare before reaching its allocation of overs, then any complete unused overs will be transferred to the team batting second.
d. Matches shall not take place if the minimum number of overs available at the start is less than 40
e. Each team must have completed its 55 overs within 3 hours 40 minutes of the start of the innings (or its required number of overs in the required time, based on 4 minutes per over)
f. When the first innings is complete, Umpires shall calculate a Close of Play time. This will be based on HALF of the original number of overs PLUS and transferred overs as in F1c, calculated at 4 minutes per over, subject to any deduction in overs due to fitness of ground, weather or light.
g. If the side bowling in the second innings completes all of its allocated overs as in F1c, before the calculated Close of Play time, play shall continue until either that time is reached or a result obtained earlier. There shall be no further restriction on bowlers once this stage is reached.
